Terms of Service

Last updated November 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of caregivercrew.com and related services (the "Service") operated by CaregiverCrew ("CaregiverCrew", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What CaregiverCrew is

CaregiverCrew is an online marketplace that helps people looking for non-medical, in-home care ("Families") find and book independent caregivers ("Caregivers"). CaregiverCrew is not a home care agency, home health agency, nurse registry or employment agency, and does not employ, supervise or control Caregivers. CaregiverCrew does not provide medical, nursing or health care services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • Caregivers must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Caregiver profiles and review

  • Caregivers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, including experience, training and certifications.
  • CaregiverCrew reviews profiles before listing them and may request changes, decline, hide or remove profiles at its discretion.
  • An "ID verified" badge means CaregiverCrew reviewed identity documents submitted by the Caregiver. It does not mean CaregiverCrew conducted a criminal background check, verified licenses or certifications, or endorses the Caregiver.

4. Families' responsibilities

  • Families are solely responsible for selecting, interviewing, checking references for and supervising any Caregiver they engage, and for deciding whether to obtain a background check in compliance with applicable law.
  • Families must describe care needs accurately and must not ask Caregivers to perform medical or nursing tasks they are not licensed or permitted to perform.
  • Families may have legal obligations, such as household employer tax obligations, depending on how care is arranged.

5. Caregivers' responsibilities

  • Caregivers are independent and decide which requests and bookings to accept, their rates and their availability.
  • Caregivers must provide services safely, honestly and within the scope of non-medical care unless they hold an applicable license and are permitted by law to do more.
  • Caregivers are responsible for their own taxes, insurance and compliance with laws that apply to them.

6. Bookings, payments and fees

  • Families pay for bookings through the Service using a supported payment method. Any payment processing fee is displayed before payment.
  • Caregiver earnings from completed bookings are credited to the Caregiver's balance, minus the platform fee shown on the Pricing page, and can be withdrawn using the available withdrawal methods.
  • Pending bookings may be cancelled as described in the Service. Refunds for cancelled bookings are returned as described at the time of cancellation.
  • You agree not to arrange payment outside the Service for bookings made through it.

7. Reviews

Only Families with a completed, paid booking may review a Caregiver. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms.

8. Prohibited conduct

  • Harassment, discrimination, threats or abuse of any kind.
  • False, misleading or impersonating profiles or reviews.
  • Asking for or sharing passwords, financial account details or unnecessary medical records through messages.
  • Using the Service for any unlawful purpose, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it.

9. Reporting and enforcement

Users can report profiles or behavior through the Service. We may investigate and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put others at risk. In an emergency, contact 911.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, CaregiverCrew does not guarantee the quality, safety, suitability or legality of services provided by Caregivers, or the accuracy of information provided by users.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CaregiverCrew will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from interactions between users. [Liability cap and carve-outs to be confirmed by counsel.]

12. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms and will notify users of significant changes. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.

13. Governing law and disputes

[To be completed by counsel: governing law, venue and dispute resolution.]
